Architect / Architectural Intern

Edgens Herzog Architects is a high end custom design firm located in Asheville and Highlands, NC. We are looking for talented Architects and Interns to join our Asheville Office, located in the vibrant River Arts District, to assist in the development and production of a wide range of custom projects. Candidates should have a passion for architecture and be highly motivated.  Successful applicants will be involved in all phases of project design and development and must be willing to contribute to project related tasks as required. 

Qualified candidates will collaborate as part of a team on multiple projects to both lead and assist the projects' development from start to finish. Responsibilities will also include construction administration, project management, consultant coordination and budgeting. Qualified candidates will be highly motivated, team players, be interested in personal and professional growth, and have excellent design and communication skills. An understanding of Architectural history and styles as well as the ability to draw and communicate with a pencil are essential. 

The ideal candidate will have:

-3-10+ years experience working in an architectural office and hold a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Architecture. 

-Licensure or be on-track to fulfill licensure.

-Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D modeling ability using SketchUp, Revit and/or Rhino 

-Ability to communicate well verbally and through sketching 

-Knowledge of V-Ray and Photoshop is also a plus

-Candidates must be a U.S. citizen or hold a U.S. work visa. 

-We are looking for applicants who are proactive and team oriented to join our small but quickly growing office, and who are comfortable with a significant amount of responsibility, job tasks, collaboration and client/consultant interaction.
