Get to Know This Role
The Event Server works in our dynamic and versatile event and banquet spaces. The banquet operations are comprised of a diverse range of events, from corporate gatherings and training sessions to social events and live performances. As an Event Server, you will be essential in delivering exceptional service and contributing to a memorable experience for all guests. Your role, which reports directly to the Onsite Events Supervisor, will involve providing attentive and efficient service, ensuring the highest standards of hospitality across a wide array of events.
Please Note: This position is on a Per Diem basis, so hours are not guaranteed. You will be scheduled to work events according to the company's needs, which may include evenings and weekends.

We’re committed to our employees and work hard to prove it. For starters, we’re offering $7.25 hourly compensation plus tip share. for this role. Individual offers are based on skills, experience, and qualifications, and geographical location.
What You Will Do
- Works with team to set up and breakdown event venue to include moving and arrange tables and chairs, set up water and beverage stations, prepare silverware settings, prepare glassware, and set up bar for service.
- Create a positive guest experience by delivering a high level of service.
- Engage with guests to understand their needs and exceed expectations.
- Follow and enforce SNBC and State of North Carolina laws regarding alcoholic beverages
- Responsible for learning and maintaining knowledge of SNBC history and products
- Responsible for learning and maintaining knowledge of beer styles and have the ability to communicate the characteristics to our guests
- Serve customers with proper serving etiquette including taking food and beverage orders, delivering food to table, bussing tables, proper pouring techniques, carrying serving trays, glass selection and cash and credit transactions, etc.
- Actively participates in daily, weekly, monthly trainings and operational updates to ensure up-to-date knowledge.
Please Apply if You Have
- 1 year Prior experience as a banquet or dining room server preferred
- 1 year Prior experience in a front of house position within a full-service restaurant required
- Ability to work well with a large group of people in a team environment
- Must have good cash accounting skills and have previous cash handling experience
- A passion and desire to learn about craft beer
- A strong work ethic
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and stay organized
- Excellent work ethic with attention to detail
