The LightEn Center of Consciousness & Action (LCCA) is a new 489-acre retreat center in the Blue Ridge
mountains outside of Asheville, North Carolina opening Spring 2026. LCCA will serve as a soul-focused
sanctuary and learning center for individual and collective growth, exploration and transformation, focused
on catalyzing the evolution of consciousness needed to solve humanity’s greatest challenges. The Center
will host current and emerging leaders to cultivate and deepen the inner work needed to be more effective
change agents in the world. LCCA is the home of LightEn US, which is part of the overall LightEn network.
OVERVIEW:
The Accountant role represents an exceptional opportunity for a reliable and caring professional to join
LightEn US in its start-up phase. LightEn’s team is collectively working to deliver on an ambitious and
world-changing mission, providing a world-class culture through a purpose driven lens. Further, this
project is truly one-of-a-kind and is led by an extraordinary vision of its founders, transforming everyone
who takes part.
LCCA is located in Marshall, NC, approximately 30-min north of Asheville. Within the 489-acre property, the
center is comprised of approximately 125 structures (existing + planned), over 44 acres. The center
features five teaching spaces, an 8000+ sq ft spa, fitness center, auditorium, event hall, dining hall,
reception building, administrative building, horticultural complex and 76 guest cabins.
Currently, there are 38 LightEn US team members, and we are forecasted to grow to 50-60 team members
by late-2026. The Accountant will report directly to the Financial Controller. In addition to the core

JOB PURPOSE:
We are seeking a dedicated and well-rounded Accountant to join our team and help support the Finance
office. Working closely with the Financial Controller, this role focuses on timely and accurate recording of
transactions, processing of invoices, and support of payroll or other accounting functions as needed. By
following internal control principles and conscientiously maintaining records, the Accountant plays a key
role in financial stewardship. The Accountant will also support the Financial Controller with ad hoc reports
and assignments, and may engage with staff, vendors, guests, and visitors. The ideal candidate is detail and
quality oriented, organized, self-motivated, eager to learn, and able to adapt as systems, processes, and
structures evolve.

Specific job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Accurately enter invoices and transaction details, using professional judgment to ask questions and
seek additional information when needed.
• Understand and follow accounting processes including proper segregation of duties, documentation
requirements, and internal control practices.
• Safeguard confidential or sensitive information.
• Maintain accurate files and records.
• Provide assistance with purchasing, payroll, vendor records, compliance filings (ie. 1099, sales tax
filings, etc.), and other functions of the finance office as needed.
• Understand, track, and meet deadlines.
• May support procurement and purchasing as needed.
• Navigate QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Excel/Office suite, payroll/HRIS software.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
• Formal education in accounting/bookkeeping or a demonstrable knowledge of accounting concepts
(eg. Debits/credits, journal entries, depreciation, etc.)
• Experience using Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks Online, or similar products.
• Ability and willingness to learn software and processes.
• Ability and willingness to build meaningful relationships.
• Knowledge of and interest in our mission, vision, and culture.
• Strong communication skills, focused on active listening and understanding.
• Typing, 10-key, and data entry; ability to use a scanner, computer, and required peripherals.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE:
• Sitting or standing for extended periods as needed for computer work.
• Ability to type, mouse, or otherwise perform computer data input.
• Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
TIME REQUIREMENTS:
• Full time or part time. A minimum of 15 hours per week is desired.
• On-site presence is a requirement of this role.
• We continue to be flexible through working on an active construction site and anticipate this role
to be hybrid with time split between campus and a home office.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum 2-3 years experience in accounting or bookkeeping, or equivalent education.
• QuickBooks Online experience preferred.

SALARY + BENEFITS: $28 per hour starting wage or $58,000 annually for full-time. Both part-time and
full-time are eligible for paid time off. Full-time staff receive full medical benefits, 403(b), short-term and
long-term disability, life insurance, paid parental leave and additional benefits. As another perk, healthy,
fresh lunches are cooked and served on-site for all staff members.
