Retail Associate

Overview

We are a hemp dispensary located in downtown Asheville focused on providing high-quality products and a strong customer experience. This role is customer-facing and requires someone who can communicate clearly, learn product details quickly, and help customers make informed decisions.

This is not a passive retail job. We expect employees to take ownership of the store, stay productive without constant direction, and contribute to both sales and daily operations.

Compensation & Schedule

• $16–$18/hour (based on experience)
• Full-time (40+ hours/week)
• Evening and weekend availability required

What You’ll Be Doing

• Assisting customers and guiding them through product selection
• Learning and retaining detailed knowledge of hemp products
• Clearly explaining products, effects, and differences to customers
• Processing in-store purchases and fulfilling online orders
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked retail space
• Assisting with inventory, restocking, and general store upkeep
• Handling downtime productively (cleaning, organizing, restocking, etc.)

Requirements

• Must be 18+ years old
• Prior retail or customer-facing experience required
• Hemp/CBD knowledge strongly preferred (or willingness to learn quickly)
• Ability to stay organized and handle multiple tasks
• Comfortable standing for extended periods

Work Environment

• Retail storefront in downtown Asheville
• Mix of busy customer flow and slower periods
• Independent work with team presence in-store

Trial Period

All hires will complete a probationary/trial period. Continued employment depends on reliability, product knowledge, and customer interaction.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
