Compensation: Base salary $60-80K with sales incentives up to 2X base salary

Position Overview

The Construction Sales & Account Manager is responsible for generating, advancing, and closing business opportunities for Quartz Modular and Quartz Rebuild. This role focuses on developing long-term client relationships that result in awarded projects, signed agreements, and continued account growth.

The ideal candidate is a relationship-driven sales professional who is proactive, organized, and experienced in managing complex sales opportunities from initial outreach through project award.

This includes:

  • Developing new business opportunities with organizations rather than individual consumers. 
  • Managing opportunities throughout the complete sales lifecycle. 
  • Building strategic relationships across the construction and housing industries. 
  • Collaborating with leadership and operations to secure new projects. 
  • Supporting continued growth throughout Western North Carolina and the Southeast. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate, qualify, and close sales opportunities through networking, referrals, outreach, industry events, and strategic account development. 
  • Build and maintain relationships with developers, builders, architects, engineers, housing agencies, nonprofit organizations, government entities, and strategic industry partners. 
  • Serve as a trusted representative of Quartz Modular and Quartz Rebuild by communicating the company's modular construction, repair, retrofit, and housing recovery capabilities. 
  • Manage opportunities from initial engagement through proposal development, negotiation, contract execution, project award, and transition to construction teams. 
  • Coordinate proposals, presentations, qualifications packages, pricing support, and RFP responses alongside estimating, operations, marketing, and executive leadership. 
  • Collaborate with the Chief Growth Officer, SVP of Operations, and leadership team to prioritize pursuits and improve sales performance. 
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline, forecasting revenue opportunities and providing regular updates on business development activities. 
  • Partner with marketing to strengthen brand awareness, business development materials, and pursuit strategies. 
  • Represent Quartz at conferences, trade association meetings, networking events, community meetings, and client presentations throughout the region. 
  • Analyze sales performance, client feedback, and win/loss data to continuously improve business development efforts. 

Qualifications

Must Have

  • Proven success generating and closing sales opportunities within construction, modular construction, building products, housing, development, or related industries. 
  • Experience managing complex sales opportunities from relationship development through signed contracts. 
  • Strong relationship-building skills with developers, builders, housing agencies, nonprofits, government entities, and strategic partners. 
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and networking skills. 
  • Experience managing CRM systems, sales pipelines, forecasting, and account development. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently and collaboratively. 
  • Willingness to travel regularly throughout Western North Carolina and the Southeast. 

Preferred

  • Knowledge of modular construction, off-site construction, building systems, or housing development. 
  • Existing professional network throughout Western North Carolina, the Carolinas, or the Southeast. 
  • Familiarity with affordable housing, disaster recovery, HUD CDBG-DR, FEMA, VOAD organizations, or nonprofit housing programs. 
  • Experience working with trade associations, builder organizations, or community development groups.
