Cherry Street Gallery, a high-end, fine art gallery in Black Mountain, showcasing the work of nationally recognized artists, is seeking a personable and professional individual to join our gallery team.

We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with people and is comfortable engaging visitors in conversations about art.

Extensive knowledge of our artists is not required-we can teach you that-but an interest in art and the ability to speak confidently and enthusiastically about artwork is important. An art background or previous gallery experience is a plus.

The ideal candidate is:

Professional in both attitude and appearance

Warm, personable, and comfortable interacting with a wide range of customers

Positive and Enthusiastic

Mature, dependable, and reliable

Self-motivating with a strong work ethis

Interested in art and comfortable discussing it with clients.

This is a part-time position, approximately 3-4 days per week.

We are a small gallery, so we’re looking for someone who will become a trusted and valued part of the team and who understands the level of professionalism and personal attention our clients expect.
